Welcome to the Virginia Kappa Alumni & Volunteer Corporation (AVC) page. The AVC is an active and engaged group of diligent alumni, parents and volunteers who work together to support the men of this chapter. Because undergraduate chapter membership turns over every four years, the AVC provides continuity by maintaining a long-term perspective. AVCs that focus on the following will ensure the long-term growth and success of the chapter: Mentoring undergraduates, cultivating alumni, managing assets, and maintaining corporate health.
This page will keep you informed about the chapter, alumni events, connect with other alumni brothers, make donations to the chapter's leadership endowments and much more. Please send pictures, alumni news, information, events and articles.
The volunteers on the AVC are responsible for advising and counseling the undergraduate leaders of the chapter, and they help to shape the direction of the chapter in recruitment, member development, leadership development, and fiscal health. Additionally, the AVC is responsible for maintaining a dialogue with chapter alumni to help build a lasting affinity for Sigma Phi Epsilon.
The 2019-20 academic year is a season of celebration! Virginia Kappa will be celebrating the re-chartering with a black-tie gala on November 16, 2019 in Blacksburg. We will continue to celebrate our success and new opportunities on the horizon as SigEp enters our 50th year at Virginia Tech, marking a new 50 years with a weekend celebration in April 2021. Come celebrate with us!
Thanks to all who contributed to the HFF Capital and New House Campaigns! With your support, we raised over $2.5 million dollars.
The Virginia Kappa AVC holds monthly conference calls to conduct regular AVC business, and they host a joint meeting between the AVC and the Undergraduate Chapter each semester.
